Sanjay Dutt reveals interesting details about Alia Bhatt starrer Sadak 2
The moment Pooja Bhatt announced the sequel to 1991 blockbuster Sadak, fans started buzzing with excitement. They were intrigued about the story and cast and crew of the film. Now, lead actor Sanjay Dutt, who was also the main part of the 1991 Sadak, revealed interesting details about the story of Sadak 2 and it has taken fans’ excitement to another level.
While talking about the film to Times Now, Sanjay Dutt revealed, "Sadak 2 is a very emotional film. It starts with Ravi [Sanjay Dutt's character]. It's many many years later after Sadak, it's a journey with this young girl who is Alia [Bhatt] and how she becomes a very important factor in his life to stay alive. It's a very crazy character."
Sanjay Dutt will be playing the lead role in the film once again and he will be playing his own age in the film. Recently, the makers of the film also announced the release date of the film and Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news saying,"IT'S OFFICIAL... #Sadak2 to release on 15 Nov 2019... Lead cast and other details will be announced shortly... Produced by Mukesh Bhatt... Mahesh Bhatt in association with Vishesh Films presents the film."
Earlier in an interview, Pooja Bhatt also revealed that it was Sanjay Dutt who took the initiative to make the sequel. She said, "The production house of the film will announce the cast and crew. All I can say is that it is happening and I also want to mention that it was Sanjay Dutt who initiated it. He was the one who came to me and said 'why were we not making Sadak 2?'... On his request, I went to tell them (Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt) about Sanjay Dutt's urge and desire to work in this film... They have a connection which I don't think anybody has..."
Earlier this year, Pooja Bhatt also posted a picture of Sanjay Dutt and Mahesh Bhatt leaving the fans wanting for more. In the picture, Mahesh Bhatt was inspecting Sanjay Dutt's Shiva tattoo. Her caption read, "We are making ‘Sadak 2’ in which we are showing Sanjay Dutt in his true and present time (Sanjay Dutt is Drug Abuse Survivor) so we are dealing with the issue of depression in that film but we are making a commercial film."
