Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who has been receiving praises for his latest Bollywood release Mulk, has once again taken the internet by storm for not recognizing Sridevi in a throwback picture. It so happened that a fan shared a GIF of late actress Sridevi and Rishi on social media on Friday (August 3) and the Mulk actor replied, “What film is this? And I cannot recognise the actress with me!”
Sridevi and RishI Kapoo have worked in a number of blockbusters like Nagina and Chandni. Needless to say, people gave it back to the actor. The two have shared a great working relationship and Rishi had lamented when the media made a circus out of the reporting of the sudden death of the yesteryear diva.
In the picture, Rishi and his leading lady Sridevi are seen dancing and the clip is taken from their film Kaun Saacha Kaun Jhoota. Within no time, Rishi was trolled on social media for failing to recognise one of India’s biggest superstars
One of the Twitter user who seemed to be pretty annoyed with Kapoor for not recognizing Sridevi wrote, "Nobody would have recognised you if she had not worked with you in Nagina and Chandni."
Another comment read, "come on. you're kidding right!!? you can't identify SUPER STAR SRIDEVI who catapulted your career? either you lost your memory or you're heavily drugged. either way, i hope you'll get well soon. chintuji, cognac sharap hoti. sometimes Cheers!"
"The late Sridevi! And the movie is Kaun Sachcha Kaun Jhootha! 1997 ..Directed by #ParthoGhosh, " another Twitter user wrote.
Recently, Rishi Kappr attacked filmmaker Anurag Basu and Anurag Kashyap for delivering flop films starring his son, Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with Huffington Post, the veteran actor said that he enjoyed Sanju unlike Bombay Velvet and Jagga Jasoos. Rishi Kapoor said, ''They were bad films. They were indulgent. Even Sanjay Leela Bhansali made Saawariya. I mean his forte is something else and he made something else''.
Rishi Kapoor’s Mulk starring Taapsee Pannu has hit the cinemas on August 3.
