Veteran actress Sridevi passed away on February 24 in Dubai due to accidental drowning. The tragic news shocked the nation and fans, still can’t digest the fact that she is no longer with us. Now, brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor, who first confirmed the news of her death, has shared a heartfelt post on social media, which will make you emotional all the way. Taking to his Instagram account, Sanjay shared a picture of himself with the legendary actress and wrote, “RIP Sridevi. #Memories”.

In the photo, Sridevi can be seen with that 'beloved twinkle in her eye', a beautiful memory which the Kapoor family wanted her to be remembered for, as mentioned in their official family statement.

The first female superstar of India Sridevi got accidentally drowned in a bathtub in her hotel room in Dubai. She soon lost consciousness and died following that. The Dubai police carried out the autopsy and confirmed the reason for her death.

Her untimely death made almost everyone in the tinsel town tweet condolences to her family and friends. Her death garnered attention of several international media houses and the big names in the industry.

Preity Zinta, who couldn't make it to the funeral took to social media to pay heartwarming tribute to the actress. She wrote, " Almost everyone I know has gone to say goodbye to her in Mumbai. I'm on the other side of the globe, it's midnight and I cannot sleep, burns into ashes and dust. Sridevi my icon is gone. "She continued to write, "I close my eyes and see Hawa Hawai smiling at me. She will always be in my heart. I wish her peace and freedom. I'm so sad I did not get to say goodbye."

Sridevi, who was last seen in 2017 film Mom has also done a cameo for Aanand L Rai's Christmas 2018 release, 'Zero' which stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. This means that we will get to see the evergreen beauty onscreen for the last time in Zero.
