Ranveer Singh teases Karan Johar post Section 377 judgement
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Karan Johar have always given us reasons to adore them with their BFFs camaraderie. The actor leaves no opportunity to tease Karan and make him go red. This time again Ranveer teased the filmmaker about the Section 377 abolishment at the book launch of Karan Johar’s childhood friend Twinkle Khanna.
Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar and many other celebrities were present at the launch of Twinkle Khanna’s latest book Pyjamas Are Forgiving. When the actor was asked to take over the podium and speak about the book, he started by lauding the great decision made by the Supreme Court. He said, “A thundering round of applause for the verdict.” Then continued pointing toward Karan Johar and said, “You can have as much dessert as you want Mister.” Karan blushed and said, “Why has it become about me?” to which Ranveer replied, “We are doing Takht together, and I’ll be your Ras Malai.”
On the day of the verdict, Karan Johar had taken it to social media and written, “Historical judgment!!!! So proud today! Decriminalising homosexuality and abolishing #Section377 is a huge thumbs up for humanity and equal rights! The country gets its oxygen back!”
Talking about Ranveer, the actor is all set to tie the knot with rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone this November. Their marriage rumours have been all over the internet since a source has confirmed to Filmfare that the duo will be having a destination wedding in Italy on November 20. The reports stated, “Both Ranveer and Deepika were keen on having a destination wedding in Italy and they have finalized Lake Como as their wedding destination. The place is dotted with exquisite villas along the shoreline, which is why both of them decided to wed in this beautiful place.”
While the actors have never accepted their love for each other publicly, they have also never shied away from getting clicked by the paparazzi on several occasions. Many times Ranveer and Deepika are spotted walking hand in hand with each other.
