Alia Bhatt and her mother Soni Razdan were the latest target of Kangana Ranaut's sister Rangoli Chandel's tweet. In a lengthy Twitter post, Rangoli called Alia Bhatt and her mother Soni Razdan 'anti-Indians' and even accused them of spreading lies and intolerance. To this, Alia Bhatt's Highway co-star took to his Twitter and supported her without taking names of either of Ranaut sisters.
He wrote, "Dearest @aliaa08 I’m so glad you are not letting the opinions of very occasional actors and chronic victims affect you and your work .. kudos to you for your continued efforts to outdo yourself."
In a recent interview, Kangana Ranaut said that she was embarrassed to be compared with Alia Bhatt. She said, "I am embarrassed...What is there to beat in Gully Boy performance ....same snappy muh phat girl... Bollywood’s idea of a fiery girl, woman empowerment and good acting, spare me this embarrassment, please. Media have taken filmy kids love too far. Stop pampering mediocre work or else bar will never be raised.”
Kangana Ranaut has been snapping back at Alia Bhatt for a long time now. However, the latter has maintained a dignified silence around the matter. Randeep Hooda becomes first of the industry to come out in support of the Kalank actress.
