Rakul Preet Singh joins Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria for Milap Zaveri's next Marjaavaan
After showcasing their sizzling chemistry in the Neeraj Pandey’s action-drama Aiyaary, Rakul Preet Singh and handsome hunk Sidharth Malhotra are all set to revive their charm together in Mila Zaveri’s next film called Marjaavaan. Taking to her Twitter, the actress announced that she has joined the star cast of the film and is very excited.
Rakul Preet Singh wrote, “Super happy to announce my next in Hindi #marjaavaan !! @milapzaveri let’s kill it !! @s1dofficial maassss #nikhiladvani #bhushankumar #2oct2019 #newannouncement” To which Director Milap Zaveri also replied and said, “Gives me great joy to welcome the gorgeous and talented @Rakulpreet to #Marjaavaan Dialoguebaazi and dhamaka en route!”
The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Tara Sutaria, who will eb making her debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2. However, Rakul Preet will be paired opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The two share a good bond offscreen and are excited to work together again.
Talking to Mumbai mirror about the same, Rakul Preet Singh revealed that she has a great equation with Sidharth, who is also from Delhi’s Defence Colony. “We hit it off during Aiyaary. Sid is a friend and I know he has been wanting to do something that is different, commercial and massy for a while. This is that film! In fact, I messaged him after I met the makers and told him I liked both the script and his ‘look’ pictures,” says the actress.
Rakul has recently wrapped up Luv Ranjan’s De De Pyaar De which she described as a coming-of-age romcom with a fresh Gen X take on love. “It also features Tabu ma’am in an important role along with Ajay sir and it’s great to be working with two people who are known to be great performers as it pushes you to give your best,” she said.
The film is slated to release on October 2, 2019.
