With time, Priyanka Chopra has emerged as a global icon, following her stint in American TV show Quantico and her Hollywood venture Baywatch. Nowadays, the gorgeous actress is more used to gracing the red carpets of the prestigious award events. But this time, Priyanka will be performing on Bollywood songs on stage for the first time in two years. The actress will be getting paid in handsome amount for her 5-minute dance performance. According to mid-day, an award show is paying Piggy Chops enormous amount of Rs 4-5 crore just for a 5-minute performance.
Now when Priyanka Chopra has become a global sensation, it surely took a lot for an award show to get her back into the Bollywood mould. The organisers of Zee Cine Awards acknowledge this fact really well, and so they managed to crack a deal with Quantico actress. Priyanka Chopra will be performing at the awards event on December, and for her 5-minute act, she will be getting mind-blowing amount of Rs 4-5 crore.
An insider told mid-day, “Priyanka's act will be about five-minute long. Since she is so much in demand, the organisers did not negotiate on the price her team quoted, despite it coming to almost a-crore-a-minute."
The organisers are well aware of the fact that Priyanka Chopra’s performance will be a major attraction of the night, after all, the actress will be performing on her homeland after two years.
The insider added, “Since Priyanka's last performance was at the Producer's Guild Awards in 2016, the team has planned a routine that will be the highlight of this award season. She will be dancing to a medley of her chartbusters."
It’s not the first time that the organisers of an award function are trying to cash in on the Priyanka Chopra fandom. Earlier, IIFA 2016 were also willing to have Priyanka Chopra on stage, especially when the main event was in New York, where she lives. However, she dropped out of the plan as the organisers wasn’t able to meet the demands of the actress. The source adds, “She is undoubtedly the frontrunner on everyone's wishlist. While several organisers have been trying to get her on board, Zee managed to close the deal. She is landing in India over the weekend. She'll have little time to rehearse, between her ad shoots and other commitments for her production house."
Apart from Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez have also been finalised to perform at Zee Cine Awards 2017.
