Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas’s mehendi and sangeet will not happen in Mehrangarh Fort anymore
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are all set to embark on a new journey together. Their pre-wedding ceremonies will start from tomorrow i.e. November 29 and on December 2, the duo will say their vows to each other. But like every Punjabi/Hindu wedding, this ceremony also has its share of problems. The power couple had decided to perform the pre-wedding ceremonies in Rajasthan’s Mehrangarh Fort and the wedding was supposed to happen in Umaid Bhawan Palace but not anymore.
According to a report in Times of India, “Priyanka wanted police protection to travel from Umaid Bhawan Palace to Mehrangarh Fort and she even hired a private security agency for the same. But the Jodhpur police refused to provide them protection citing the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan.” So now, all the pre-wedding and wedding functions will take place at Umaid Bhawan Palace. Besides, the Umaid Bhavan Palace will be shut for the public for almost a week and a notice has been put outside Umaid Bhavan which reads, “due to security reasons, the palace will be closed for public from November 29, 2018, to December 3, 2018.”
A video is going viral on the internet that shows the beautiful Umaid Bhawan decorated for the desi girl Priyanka Chopra and the love of her life Nick Jonas. In the video shared, one can see how gorgeous the Palace looks with visual interpretations and play of light all over it. With different colours and forms decorating the royal palace, it surely takes the breath away. One can only imagine how beautifully it must have been decorated from the inside. According to a report, Priyanka and Nick have decided to gift a silver coin with their names initials 'NP' engraved on it, and a carving of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi on the other side of the coin. The report also stated that the coin is specially handcrafted by a famous jeweller from Mumbai.
Nick Jonas’ brother Joe Jonas and his girlfriend Sophie Turner are already in India to be a part of the wedding. Both the couples along with their close friends like Parineeti Chopra and Alia Bhatt went on a dinner date and enjoyed some quality time together.
