After delivering a number of performances in his Bollywood career, the actor has finally decided to take a step forward in his personal life as well. On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami i.e. January 22 last year, Prateik Babbar got engaged to his girlfriend Sanya Sagar and now, he is all set to get hitched to her on the same date this year in Lucknow.

The couple has known each other for eight long years and has decided to take their relationship to the next level. Even after their engagement last year, Prateik Babbar shared that he would want a courtship of atleast a year or two before he steps in the world of marital bliss. Looks like he has finally decided to exchange vows with Sanya Sagar an intimate two-day wedding ceremony in Lucknow- on January 22 and 23, which will be followed by a reception in Mumbai.

"They have known each other for almost a decade but have been dating for only around two years and are excited to take their relationship to next level," a source told Mumbai Mirror. Infact earlier in an interview with the same tabloid, Prateik had said that she was the best partner he could ask for. The actor has also revealed that it didn't take him long to realise that Sanya was the one for him.

For those unaware, Sanya Sagar is a graduate from National Institue of Fashion Technology in fashion communication and has practical filmmaking from the London film academy. Both, Prateik and Sanya’s fathers, Raj Babbar and Pawan Sagar are in politics together, however, it is said that the couple’s love for cinema brought them together.
