Popular Bollywood villain Mahesh Anand, who was mostly seen in the 90s film has reportedly died. The actor, who was last seen in Govinda's Rangeela Raja breathed his last at the age of 57. As per Times Now, the reason behind his death is unclear, however, his body has been taken to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.
Mahesh Anand has played antagonist in popular films such as Shahenshah (1988), Majboor (1989), Swarg (1990), Thanedaar (1990), Vishwatma (1992), Gumrah (1993), Khuddar (1994), Betaaj Badshah (1994), Vijeta (1996) and Kurukshetra (2000). He got separated from his wife in 2002 and since then was living alone in Versova. When an entertainment portal contacted his ex-wife Usha Bachani, she was reportedly unaware of the mishap.
Mahesh Anand was also going through a financial crunch. As per a report in Cinestaan.com, the actor used to take part in wrestling matches to earn his living. When his film Rangeela Raja released, he took to Facebook to express his happiness. He wrote, ''im happy after 18 years i had onne movie released today,,,,rangeela raja,,,,,,,, i am just therefor 6 minutes in the end,,, hope you all will welcome me back.''
In an interview to Cinestaan, the actor said, ''Nobody signed me for 18 years. But God came in the form of a human being and offered me a small role. It’s a stepping stone back into the industry. Actually, it has not hit me till now because for 18 years I have lived alone, with no work and no money''. He revealed that when he got a call from Pahlaj Nihalani, he didn't have money for the autorickshaw fare.
