Parineeti Chopra to play a spy in Ajay Devgn starrer Bhuj: The Pride of India? Deets inside
Fans loved when Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt stepped into the shoes of an Indian spy in Meghna Gulzar starrer Raazi. Looks like Parineeti Chopra is also ready to walk the same path as the latest reports suggest that the actress will be playing the role of a spy in her upcoming film Bhuj: The Pride of India.
Going by the reports in DNA, a source has claimed, “Parineeti plays an important character — of a femme fatale Heena Rehman — who works for the Indian government and passes information about Pakistan’s attack plans. This is similar to what Alia did as Sehmat in the Meghna Gulzar directorial.” Alia Bhatt as a spy in Raazi won millions of hearts and the actress even bagged many awards for her performance. Now it would be interesting to see Parineeti Chopra playing a similar part.
Parineeti Chopra was recently seen in Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari in which she played teh love interest of Akshay who played Havildar Ishar Singh in the film. Talking about her role in Kesari, Parineeti told Mumbai Mirror, “When Karan played the song for me I fell in love with it. Now, it’s a running joke between us that I did this film just for that song.”
Parineeti is loaded with Bollywood projects as she has three more films n her kitty. The actress will be seen in Jabariya Jodi alongside Sidharth Malhotra. She will be reuniting with Arjun Kapoor in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and she has recently replaced Shraddha Kapoor in badminton player Sania Mirza’s biopic called Sania. The actress also confirmed the news by sharing a picture after her training session for the film. She captioned it as, “Post training bliss! #Saina.”
On the other hand, rumours also has it that just like sister Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra is all set to be featured in a music video. As per Pune Mirror, the song will be produced by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar and composed by Amaal Mallik. The lyrics will be penned by Manoj Muntashir, who has previously written the lyrics to the remake versions of the songs Sanu Ek Pal and Mere Rashke Qamar. Parineeti would reportedly be shooting for the music video next month.
