Ever since the posters of PM Narendra Modi’s biopic have launched starring Vivek Oberoi, it was attracted a lot of attention, both positive as well as negative. It was earlier rumoured that veteran actor Paresh Rawal was supposed to play the Modi in the biopic but in 2017, another project was announced on PM Narendra Modi’s life in which Paresh Rawal will be essaying his life. The actor has even claimed that the project will go on floors soon and there is no one who can play Modi better than him.
Recently, while talking to Asian Age, Paresh Rawal was asked about playing PM Narendra Modi and he said, “I still maintain that nobody can play Modi other than me. I can do complete justice to the role. However, it’s a free country and even Vivek can play that role. I wish him luck. What I can do with that film, nobody else can. Let anybody do what they want to, we are also coming out soon,” he added.
Talking about the impending project in which Paresh Rawal will play Modi, he told Indian Express, “We are just locking the script and hopefully it will finish soon, and we will begin to shoot it in September or October (2018)." The project was announced in 2017 but didn’t go on floors at that time, on the other hand, PM Modi's biopic which is being directed by Omung Kumar and stars Vivek Oberoi came as a surprise to many.
The posters of the film titled PM Narendra Modi launched just recently by Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis at South Mumbai’s Garware Club House. While the makers haven’t announced the release date, the film has already garnered a lot of attention.
On the work front, Paresh Rawal will be seen in Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike which will hit the theatres on January 11th.
