Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in the film Zero, has been busy shooting for the next season of his talk show Ted X. While the actor is neck deep in work, he hasn’t announced any Bollywood film as yet. A lot of speculations are being made that the superstar will make a comeback on the big screen after a few months break with Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. While other reports suggest that he will be stepping into the shoes of an astronaut in the upcoming film Saare Jahan Se Achcha. Now the latest buzz around the actor suggests that not Don or any biopic, Shah Rukh Khan will come back on the big screen with the fourth installment of Yash Raj’s successful franchise Dhoom.
According to the reports in Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan is loaded with Bollywood projects like Don 3, Satte Pe Satta remake as well as Dhoom 4. He has to pick his next film yet. The report states, “The makers have pitched the movie to SRK. If the actor agrees to star in it then Uday Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan will reportedly make way for the new set of cops in the franchise. Not only that, it seems like the fourth instalment will be helmed by a new director.”
On the related note, it was said that the failure of Zero hit Shah Rukh Khan hard that he decided to take a break from movies and speculate what he wants to do next. While at the Beijing Film Festival, SRK said, “At this point, I have not decided anything. I think I will take the decision for the next film that I am going to do by June. I am just listening to films and I want to spend some time just listening and working on them. So, by June, I will be able to take a call on which film I want to do.”
Adding to the same, SRK said, “Teen chaar mahine baad usme ghus jaata hun. But, iss baar mera dil nahi kiya. Mereko aisa laga ki main thoda waqt nikaal kar filmein dekhunga, kahaaniyan sununga, kitaabein padhunga. Mere bacche bhi jo hain college ki stage par hain. Ladki (Suhana Khan) college jaa rahi hai aur ladka (Aryan Khan) shaayad college se pass hone wala hai iss saal mein. So, I just want to spend more time with the family."
Recently, Shah Rukh Khan also flew away to New York where he shot for an episode of David Letterman's Netflix talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction as a guest. The actor also visited veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor who has been in the city for the past eight months as he is undergoing cancer treatment.
