Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan who recently embraced motherhood is gearing up to launch her first book ‘The Perils of Being Moderately Famous’. Five weeks ago, Soha Ali Khan welcomed her first child Inaaya Naumi Kemmi with husband Kunal Kemmu. The actress who is wrapped in babysitting nowadays announced the news of her first book on her Instagram account. In the picture, she is seen sitting with her team. The book is being published by Penguin India.
Soha Ali Khan has written a book which is a collection of personal essays through which she recounts with self-deprecating humour what it is like to grow up in one of India’s most popular families. It narrates the anecdotes from her growing up days as a modern princess, her college days and her life as a celebrity.
Talking about her parenting anecdotes, Soha Ali Khan candidly tells Mumbai Mirror that being the youngest in the family, she has never changed a diaper before. She said, “Since I was the youngest in my family, I never had to change a diaper before. My sister, Saba, helped look after me, my brother, Saif, probably helped look after Saba, I didn't have to look after anyone. Now, suddenly, I have a baby who is dependent on me for food and comfort. She can't even scratch herself and I feel so responsible for this life!"
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Soha Ali Khan talks about her nephew Taimur being clicked every now and then by paparazzi. She said, “I'm sure after a point people are disinterested. Taimur is a child and it's not like he's wearing designer clothes every day that he has to be clicked. As an actor you understand that this is a part of your job, but your kids are entitled to some privacy."
On the work front, Soha Ali Khan is planning to return on silverscreen with Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3. Talking about her comeback in the field, she said, “I enjoyed working with Tigmanshu (Dhulia) sir in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, he's a brilliant writer- director. I was worried about shooting Part 3 when heavily pregnant but the film got pushed and by December I'm hoping to be more in control."
Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan are gearing up for their first production, which is a biopic on lawyer Ram Jethmalani. They will be co-producing the film with Ronnie Screwvala.
