Neetu Kapoor gifts bracelet to son Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone was the next in line among the Bollywood celebrities who paid their visit to veteran actor Rishi Kapoor in New York. The actress was in NYC for her appearance at the Met Gala 2019, after which she visited the actor who had been battling cancer for a few months. Neetu Kapoor took to her social media to share heartwarming pictures with the actress on her social media and wrote, "Such a fun evening with an adorable @deepikapadukone...gave lot of love n warmth (sic)."
In the picture going viral online, Deepika Padukone, who is also an ex-girlfriend of Ranbir Kapoor, is seen hugging Rishi Kapoor tightly while posing for the pictures. Soon after Neetu Kapoor shared the adorable pictures on her Instagram, Deepika Padukone also took to her Instagram stories and shared that she received a wonderful gift from the veteran actress. Sharing a picture of a beautiful diamond bracelet, Deepika Padukone wrote, "With blessings and good wishes..." and also tagged Neetu Kapoor and her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. For the unversed, Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor dated long back and ended their relationship on an ugly note. However, the two moved on with their lives with Deepika Padukone getting married to Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh after dating him for six years and Ranbir Kapoor has been dating actress Alia Bhatt for a while now. Currently, both Deepika and Ranbir share a warm bond and were also seen sharing pleasantries at various award functions.
Talking about Rishi Kapoor, the actor moved away to New York in September last year and has been getting treatment for cancer. The actor’s brother Randhir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima recently declared that the actor is now cancer-free. Talking about his health, Rishi Kapoor told Deccan Chronicle earlier, "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. Being in remission is a big thing and it's all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all. Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned."
