Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar’s mother Nirmala Patekar passed away on the morning of January 29. The actor was not at home when his mother breathed her last. Nirmala Patekar was 99 and lived with the actor. The last rites of Nana Patekar’s mother took place at Oshiwara crematorium in Mumbai on Tuesday evening at 5:30 pm. Nana Patekar performed the last rites and he was accompanied by his family and relatives. Nana Patekar had lost his father Gajanan Patekar when he was 28.
Nana Patekar has lost many people in his family including his eldest son. During the last rites, Nana Patekar’s son Malhar Patekar was seen supporting him. The veteran actor has been ruling the headlines for a while now for sexually harassing actress Tanushree Dutta. The actress has even filed a case against him and choreographer Ganesh Acharya including two more people.

While Tanushree Dutta is not ready to back down from her claim that veteran actor Nana Patekar misbehaved with her during the shooting of a film in 2008, Patekar has dismissed her accusations as "motivated and malicious" in his reply to the Cine and TV Artists' Association (CINTAA). The actor claimed that Dutta had not made any accusations against him in 2008, when the alleged incident took place. Nana Patekar, through his lawyer Aniket Nikam, sent his reply earlier this week after CINTAA issued a notice to him upon a complaint filed by Dutta.
