Looks like, after a pause, #MeToo movement is all set to spread its wings once again in the Industry. After Tara scriptwriter registered an FIR against sanskari actor Alok Nath, actress Kritika Sharma has also followed her and filed a case against Bollywood casting director Vicky Sidana on account of sexual harassment.
Kritika Sharma accused Vicky Sidana of sexual harassment on the pretext of fixing her meeting with Pyar Ka Punchnama director Luv Ranjan. The actress tried to file a complaint last monas well but Versova Police station denied filing her case against the casting director. After which she along with her lawyer sent a complaint to the Ministry of Home Affairs. And now, an FIR has been registered against him under Section 354 A.
Vicky Sidana, on his part, denied all the allegations and said that this is being done to ruin his reputation. Post sexual harassment charges, the casting director was also dropped from Iulia Vantur’s debut film Radha Kyun Gori Main Kyun Kaala and the makers dissociated him from the film until any further investigation was conducted. Looks like with a case filed against him, he is not going back to the sets anytime soon.
Coming back to Alok Nath, the actor has been given notices from CINTAA and IFTDA, however, he has refused to acknowledge them. After which CINTAA has decided to expel him from the organization. CINTAA released a statement on Twitter revealing the same. The statement was released by the association stating, “In the view of the various allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct against Mr. Alok Nath, after due diligence and consideration, the Exec. Committee of #cintaa has decided to expel him from the Association. @sushant_says @renukashahane @FIA_actors @sagaftra @RichaChadha.”
