No one can even come close to Ranveer Singh when it comes to energy. He’s always so high on energy that we wonder if he ever sleeps. Ahead of his big release Gully Boy, the actor shared a video on his Instagram in which he’s seen singing Mere Do Anmol Ratan for rappers Divine and Naezy. Ranveer Singh was at a dubbing studio to record for a song for his upcoming Zoya Akhtar film. In the backdrop, the filmmaker is also heard giggling. Even Naezy and Divine couldn’t help themselves from laughing.
The video has clocked more than 500,000 views on the social media site. Later, he also shared a picture featuring Divine and Naezy with him in full-on rapper avatar.
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt are coming together for the first time in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. The film is inspired by the struggles of real-life street rappers Divine and Naezy. The film also has Kalki Koechlin and Vijay Raaz in important roles. It is slated to release on February 14.
Later, Ranveer Singh will again share screen space with Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s Takht. The period drama will have Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role apart from the duo. The film hasn’t gone on floors yet.
Gully Boy also marks Zoya Akhtar’s comeback as a director after Dil Dhadakne Do. Though, the renowned filmmaker directed one of the stories in the anthology Lust Stories that streamed on Netflix last year.
