Manisha Koirala launches autobiography titled Healed

Everyone is well versed with the rocky road that Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala walked when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. The actress went through a lot of hardships and now she has penned them all down in an autobiography that was launched on Tuesday. Manisha Koirala unveiled her book titled Healed: How Cancer Gave Me A New Life in Mumbai with her close friends from the industry in attendance. 

Bollywood celebs like Rekha, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover and others graced the event. Veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher took to his social media and shared pictures from the event. He captioned it as, “Today at Manisha Koirala's book launch I remembered a heroic gesture of my brother Raju Kher (a cancer survivor) just before his surgery and how Manisha Koirala is more beautiful now than at the time of her debut film Saudagar. Because ‘LIFE' has happened to her. Her book Healed is about courage and the spirit of survival. Please buy your copy.”

Talking about Manisha Koirala’s Bollywood career, she debuted with the film Saudagar in 1991 and went on to deliver phenomenal performances in movies like Akele Hum Akele Tum, The Musical, Dil Se, Mann, Lajja, Bombay, Khamoshi and Company. When the actress was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, she walked out of the film industry for a while to recover completely. She returned to the big screen after five years with the coming-of-age drama Dear Maya. She was also seen in the film Lust Stories along with Sanjay Kapoor.
