The sixth edition of Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year 2019, the prestigious Intellectual Property, which honours the exceptional contribution of various renowned people in Maharashtra is taking place today. The event is being graced by many Bollywood celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Riteish Deshmukh and many more. Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis will also attend the event as the chief guest. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is also expected at Lokmat Awards 2019. Apart from the Bollywood celebrities, cricketer Smriti Mandhana will also be a part of this ceremony.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone will start working in Meghna Gulzar's next Chhapaak. She will be playing the role of acid attack victim in the film which is based on the life of real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal.
