Krushna Abhishek clears the air about Kapil Sharma taking huge pay cut
Popular comedian Kapil Sharma is ruling the headlines ever since he bounced back on the small screen with his ‘The Kapil Sharma Show Season 2’. The show witnessed a blockbuster opening with Bollywood movie Simmba’s star cast gracing the first episode. Undoubtedly, fans were excited to watch Kapil Sharm back in form, rumours have it that the popular comedian is taking out huge pay cut for every weekend’s episode. However, Krushna Abhishek has now refuted all the rumours about Kapil taking a pay-cut.
Speaking to Bollywoodlife.com, Krushna Abhishek told that Salman Khan is a very generous producer. He further stated, "These pay cut rumours are false. We are getting our stipulated amount. We are extremely happy working together. Anyways, money is secondary. No one can beat the fact that The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest comedy show in the country."
Reports about the show further claimed that the second season isn't raking in the numbers as expected and the show hasn't received the same kind of warmth from the audience. Talking about the same, a source from the channel told the publication, "Only time will tell if the second season is a success. We are getting enough and more sponsorship for the show till now. The response on social media was also good. The producers are not cutting costs at any levels. The success or failure will be evident after we get the first TRPs."
The second season of The Kapil Sharma Show also has Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar, Sumona Chakravarti along with new additions Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek. Navjot Singh Sidhu continues to sit in the judge's chair. While it was said that Sunil Grover will join the cast of the show, nothing confirmed has been stated yet.
Talking to Punjab Kesari, Siddhu revealed that Sunil will realise it on his own and when he does, both him and Kapil will be standing with open arms to welcome him. Infact, the comedian will be given much more respect this time. According to Navjot Singh Siddhu, Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma are very close to his heart and he always keep trying to get them back together. Well, if this really happens, we are sure the fans will bloom with happiness.
