Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan's Kedarnath trailer has garnered praises from all the quarters. Abhishek Kapoor's directorial which is set against the backdrop of 2012 Uttarakhand floods is a love story mainly shot in the holy town of Kedarnath.
The shrine is located at an altitude of 11, 755 feet above sea level, hence, shooting there was not a child's play. Snow-capped peaks with chilling wind and plummeting temperature made the climate harsher for shoot. However, Kedarnath team bravely defeated the bone-chilling weather. Narrating an incident on the set, director Abhishek Kapoor said that once instead of a make-believe storm, they ended up facing a real one. They have even incorporated the sequence in the movie.
“One of the sequences had to be shot in rain and storm. So, we had arranged a snow and storm creator machine. But on the day of the shoot, we faced a real and an unexpected squall. The cast and crew showed enough courage and continued shooting. Those scenes will be shown in the movie,” he revealed. Hot water buckets were used between the shots to keep body temperature normal.
On a related note, Kedarnath also marks the debut of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan. So far, makers have dropped three songs of the film- Namo Namo, Sweetheart and Qaafirana. Songs have been composed by Amit Trivedi. Kedarnath is scheduled to release on December 7.
