Katrina Kaif is gearing up for her upcoming movie Bharat, alongside Salman Khan which is all set for the release on June 5, 2019. She has been managing to stay in the news for a long time now. Either for promoting the movie or commenting on replacing Priyanka Chopra in Bharat, Katrina Kaif is ruling our timeline these days.
However, recently she went on an emotional journey and recalled how difficult was it to grow up with a single mother, in her interview with Filmfare.
She says, " "Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum and makes any girl feel vulnerable. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents," said Katrina, adding, "Each time I've gone through something emotionally hard, I was compelled to reflect that it must be nice for those who have a strong fatherly support from a male figure, who loves you unconditionally."
Katrina Kaif has seven siblings who were raised alone by her mother Suzanne Turquotte after she got separated from her husband.
Katrina Kaif hardly talks openly about her family. On asking if she misses the male figure in the family and looks up to some strong male figure, she replied, "I don't think I did that. People say you are lucky if you can count your true friends on your fingers. My trustworthy, inner circle of friends know me well. They understand where you're coming from, your fears and your insecurities. Of course, my parents being separated had a part to play. My mom had a family of seven daughters and a son."
