So sweet! Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone hug at Star Screen Awards 2018, video goes viral
A lot has been said about Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif that the actresses are on a never-ending cold war. For those who came late, both Deepika and Katrina dated actor Ranbir Kapoor at one point of their life which made them sour about each other. However, going by the latest video from Star Screen Awards 2018, it seems like its all the things of the past. The leading ladies of Bollywood have finally made peace with their past and that’s truly heartening to see. During Star Screen Awards 2018, that was aired last night on Star Plus, Katrina and Deepika exchanged warm hugs and kisses and the video has spread on the social media like a wildfire.
It seems like Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh had played the peacemaker between his wife and Katrina. In the video, he is seen greeting Katrina and then taking her to Deepika. Both greet each other and hug like friends.
Katrina Kaif also attended Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh’s wedding reception on December 1, 2018. Even at Koffee With Karan 6, Kat said that she was keen on attending the wedding or reception, anywhere she’s invited to. After the reception, Deepika and Katrina started following each other on Instagram. While talking to Filmfare, Deepika spoke about Kat. She said, “A lot of water has flown under the bridge. For me, just the fact that she came and was very present was gracious (of her). I've always been fond of her. You know, just the way that she's been over the years, and with her work and I have a lot of respect for that. I made my peace with her."
During Star Screen Awards, Ranveer Singh was honoured with Best Actor Award (Male) for his performance in Padmaavat. While accepting the award, the actor thanked his wife Deepika Padukone for all his achievements in life. This left Deepika teary-eyed. The video of the actress getting emotional is doing rounds on the internet.
Talking about New Year celebrations, the couple is in New York to celebrate it together. Interestingly, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are also in the city for New Year celebrations.
