Karwa chauth, the festival of love and trust is being celebrated nation-wide by couples especially of Hindu religion. The festival is quite popular among Bollywood celebrities as well. This year many newly-married celebrity couples will be celebrating the festival for the first time after marriage. Bollywood actress and Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor got hitched to businessman Anand Ahuja on May 8 this year and the couple are all excited for their first Karwa chauth festival.
The couple also shared a love-soaked pic from their celebration. In the pic which Sonam and Anand shared in their Instagram story, can be seen applying henna on their hands. In the image, a heart emoji with henna is designed on their hands. Along with the heart emoji, Sonam also got the first alphabets of their names A and S designed on her hand.

Meanwhile, Sonam’s mother Sunita Kapoor also hosted a karwa chauth gathering at her residence. Sharing pics on the Instagram, Sunita wrote, ‘’Mehendi, friends, fun. Karva Chauth.’’
Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu also shared a throwback pic from her first karwa chauth.
TV actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya shared a karwa chauth selfie and captioned it as, ‘’Beautiful #Karvachauth Morning.’’
