Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor is emotional about sharing screen space with the legendary Sridevi -- even though in a cameo for Shah Rukh Khan's Zero, which released on Friday. Karisma shared a couple of pictures from the set of the just-released film and remember the legendary actress. She even thanked superstar Shah Rukh Khan for making it happen that she could share the screen space with the most talented actress in Bollywood.
"Thank you Shah Rukh and team 'Zero' for giving me the opportunity to share screen space (even if it was for a few minutes) with the legend and my all time favourite Sridevi, we miss you. Special moments," Karisma wrote on Instagram along with a photograph of herself with Sridevi from the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero movie set.
Hindi film Zero was the last film of Sridevi, who died aged 54 in February this year. Also featuring actresses Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, "Zero" is directed by Anand L. Rai and has cameos by multiple Bollywood celebrities, including R. Madhavan and Abhay Deol. Talking about the performances, critics have especially mentioned that Katrina Kaif is a surprise package in the film. Katrina aka Babita Kumari is a film star in the flick with a troubled relationship. She is unabashed and hates wearing a fake smile. Madly in love with a co-star, who no longer cares for her, Babita Kumari gets fond of Bauua. On the other hand, Anushka Sharma aka Aafiya Yusufzai Bhinder, a scientist with cerebral palsy, is different but doesn't want to be treated differently. It is Bauua who can dance with her and say cheers along with her. For Bauua, she is just like any other girl with whom he can flirt.
Zero Movie Review (2018)
You get those desi vibes with characters aptly resonating Meerut with their dialect. Writer Himanshu Sharma’s one-liners and dialogues tickle your funnybones or at least bring a smile on your face. The screenplay is compact, light-hearted and is fairly enjoyable. However, things change soon after the interval due to the stretched sub-plot, which doesn't deliver the impact the way it's superbly deliver in the first half.
