Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan who became a proud mother to baby girl Inaaya Naumi Kemmu on September 29, is also an author. She has written her first book titled ‘The Perils of Being Moderately Famous’. Soha launched her book at hotel Taj Lands’ End in Mumbai on Tuesday evening and her, family was there to cheer her new path. Right from husband Kunal Khemu to mother Sharmila Tagore to brother Saif Ali Khan, Soha’s book launch was a star-studded one indeed. However, the highlight of the event was her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan who made heads turn in a short red bodycon dress by Bibhu Mohapatra.
Embellished with sequin, the dazzling attire featured a front cut-out design along with a broad waist band detailing, which beautifully breaks the monotony of the outfit.
Kareena walked hand-in-hand with husband Saif and gave us serious fashion and relationship goals.
The Cocktail actor looked like a Nawab in a white churidar kurta and red sleeveless bandhgala jacket.
Soha’s book is a collection of personal essays through which she recounts with self-deprecating humour what it is like to grow up in one of India’s most popular families. It narrates the anecdotes from her growing up days as a modern princess, her college days and her life as a celebrity.
Sharmila Tagore looked graceful in a light blue silk sari. Both Soha and Kunal kept it casual for the evening. The book launch had every member of the family say a few words about Soha and the book.
“If there is one person I am in awe of in this family, I think it’s Soha Ali Khan. Whenever I am out on a dinner with Saif and Soha, I am like I am never going to understand this conversation. If Kunal Kemmu can’t, there’s no way that I can”, Kareena Kapoor was quoted as saying at the book launch
Furthermore, the Heroine actress added, “Soha has always been so polite and if there’s anyone in the family that we turn to when amma (Sharmila Tagore) is all worked up, then it’s just one person who can control the situation and it’s Soha”.
