Karan Johar calls Ranveer Singh flamboyant; Compares Simmba's actor with Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan
We have witnessed an amiable bond between Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar a lot many times. The actor has also appeared on the couch of the most controversial show Koffee With Karan where Ranveer and the host of the show, Karan couldn't stop having fun. The two of them collaborated for the first time, although not as actor-director. Ranveer's last release Simmba was co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
Rohit Shetty' directorial Simmba also starred Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. Needless to say, the film did magic at the box office collection of more than Rs 200 crores which proved to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2018.
Recently, in an interview with India Today, director Karan Johar was all praises for Ranveer Singh. KJo made a statement saying that he loves Ranveer who is also his go-to person for everything. Karan said: "He is very flamboyant and that's something that he shows to the public. He is always this person, he is originally very flamboyant. He is my hero. Ranveer's energy enhances his stardom. Other actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan don't have that much energy but they are unique in their own way. They are amazing actors and are really good on screen."
Speaking of their another venture together, Karan Johar is featuring Ranveer Singh in his next directorial titled Takht in an important role. The film is a period drama and also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor.
Ranveer Singh's Latest Update: The actor is busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Gully Boy which is directed by Zoya Akhtar. The film will hit the screens on 14th February 2019 also starring Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin.
