Director Karan Johar has become the latest celebrity and the only Indian filmmaker to get his wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London. This is known to all that many B-town stars have a pride of place in the museum. Karan’s talent is not limited to filmmaking and even visitors have many times asked about the reason of not including the director in the list earlier. This is indeed a great news for all cinema lovers.
2018 is a special year for Karan as his directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that featured Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, is also going to complete its 20 years in the industry and now he has one more reason to celebrate. The date on which his wax statue will be unveiled is yet to be known.
After unveiling in one city, his statue will head out on tour across Asia so that people can get its glimpse. The procedures have started, and the figure is likely to get ready in six months.
On a related note, Karan has produced Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak. He has also bankrolled Kalank featuring actors Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles.
