Kapil Sharma shares heart-to-heart conversation with former PM Manmohan Singh (In Pics)
After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, comedy king Kapil Sharma recently had a heart-to-heart conversation with former PM Dr Manmohan Singh. Kapil Sharma, who recently got married to his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath, talked about his hometown Amritsar in his meet with Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur.
Sharing pictures from the meet, Kapil Sharma wrote, “Thank you respected @dr.manmohan_singh for the warmth, hospitality and a heart to heart conversation about our roots in Amritsar, especially about our college and food. Was an honour meeting such a humble and simple statesman like you and receiving blessings from ma'am”.
A biopic on Manmohan Singh titled The Accidental Prime Minister released on January 11. Starring Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna in important roles, the movie is based on Sanjaya Baru's book of the same name. Baru was media advisor of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. While Kher plays the role of Manmohan Singh, Khanna essays Sanjaya Baru in the flick.'
Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma also met PM Modi at the inauguration of India's first National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai recently. After the event, Kapil shared a special moment with PM Narendra Modi and captioned it as, “Respected pm Sh @narendramodi ji,it was nice meeting u n great knowing ur inspiring ideas and progressive views about our film industry and our nation. N sir I must say u have a great sense of humor too! Regards."
To which PM Modi replied, “When @KapilSharmaK9 appreciates somebody's humour, it sure makes that person happy and I am no exception. :) Thank you for the kind words Kapil.”
Kapil Sharma and wife Ginni Chatrath recently hosted their third wedding reception in Delhi.
