After recieving lukewarm response for Hansal Mehta's Simran, actress Kangana Ranaut is all set for her ambitious project. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi directed by Krish has Kangana playing the role of Rani Laxmibai. Recently, pictures from the sets in Jaipur leaked and we must say that the actress looked ethereal as Laxmibai.
Kangana began shooting in Jaipur from October 24. The shooting is taking place at famous Nahargarh fort and Jaigarh fort. In the latest viral picture, one can see Kangana in green dress and golden turban. In other photographs, the Queen actress is rehearsing her dialogues in biege saree. With neatly tied bun and red bindi on her forehead, Kangana looked majestic. Check out pictures below:
The historical drama is all set to release on April 27, 2018. Besides Kangana, the movie also stars Sonu Sood and Vaibhav Tatwawdi in major roles. Sushant Singh Rajput's ex girlfriend Ankit Lokhande is also making her Bollywood debut with Manikarnika. She will be playing the role of Jhalkaribai, a confidante of Rani who shared an uncanny resemblace with her. The movie got mired in controversy when Ketan Mehta sued Kangana for hijacking her project.
