Kangana Ranaut’s birthday plans include Mental Hai Kya promotional shoot
Kangana Ranaut, who will turn 32 on March 23, wanted to celebrate her birthday with her family but now, the actress will be shooting for a promotional campaign for her upcoming Bollywood movie Mental Hai Kya. Earlier it was said that the actress has decided to ring into her birthday celebrations with her family in her hometown Manali but on the request of the makers of the film, she decided to postpone her celebration and fulfill her work commitments.
The makers of the upcoming Bollywood film Mental Hai Kya revealed in a statement that the actress decided to alter her plans after film's producer Ekta Kapoor requested her to shoot for the film's promotional campaign. "Mental Hai Kya is now slated for release in the end of May, on Ekta Kapoor's special request, the actress readily agreed to shoot for the promotional campaign of Mental Hai Kya on her birthday," read an excerpt from the statement.
Kangana Ranut also decided to postpone her birthday plan and complete the shoot of Mental Hai Kya because she also has to start shooting for Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga next. She has already begun the preparations of the same and it was said that she will be learning kabaddi for the movie in her hometown Manali. She has been quoted as saying, "I start my Kabaddi practise in Manali. They are sending a trainer for that there." Talking about Mental Hai Kya, the movie which was earlier slated to hit theaters on 22 February 2019 and then 29th March, will now release in May. Mental Hai Kya is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The film deals with mental health and hallucinations, and depicts the relationship of an ex-couple.
On the related note, it was said that ahead of her birthday, Kangana Ranaut has decided to stay silent for 10 days. The actress has decided this as the pre-birthday gift for herself. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor is all set to leave for Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu wherein she is set to attend a wellness programme. The programme, which takes place in complete silence, will involve meditation, states the report.
"I have been practising yoga since I was around 16-17. The program I am about to attend is an advanced one. I had been meaning to do this for a while now. This year, it happened to fall close to my birthday. Ten days of silence is a big commitment, but I wanted to be a birthday present for myself”, Kangana Ranaut was quoted as saying to the daily.
