Kajol remembers father-in-law Veeru Devgan with heart-touching Instagram post
Bollywood actress Kajol paid a heart-touching tribute to his late father-in-law Veeru Devgan who breathed his last on May 27. The popular action-director led a glorious life and will always be remembered for his work in a number of iconic films in Bollywood. Kajol and her husband Ajay Devgn were busy saying their last goodbyes to their father. On Tuesday, the actress took to her Instagram to pen down heartfelt note for the action-director and poured her heart out.
She wrote, “In happier times ... .He won the award for a lifetime of achievement on this day but it took a lifetime to prove. So many people mourn the life of the man but that was a life well lived... RIP with love.” In the picture , Kajol can be seen posing with her late father-in-law Veeru Devgan at an event. Just a couple of days back, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wrote a condolence letter for Veery Devgan. The letter, which was addressed to Veeru Devgan's wife Veena Devgan, was shared by Ajay on Twitter on Sunday. "My Mother and entire Devgan family are deeply touched and humbled in silence by this thoughtful gesture from our Honourable Prime Minister @narendramodi. Thank you Sir," the actor tweeted.
On the related note, Bollywood celebs and people who worked with Veeru Devgan also paid their condolences in response to Kajol’s post. Noted make-up artist Mickey Contractor wrote, “He was a legend and I had the good fortune of working with him some decades ago.” Actor Shilpa Shirodkar commented, “Heartfelt condolences to you, ajay and your family kajol. Lots of love to all of you.” Kajol’s sister Tanishaa Mukerji responded with a folded hands emoji.
Veeru Devgan, who was the popular action director behind films such as "Roti Kapda Aur Makaan" and "Mr Natwarlal" and the father of actor Ajay Devgn, passed away in Mumbai on May 27 at the age of 77.
