PM Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony was no less than an extravagant affair. Celebrities from all over India attended the event. Bollywood too marked their presence along with some dignitaries from South industry as well. Along with Rajinikanth, Kajal Aggarwal was also invited to the oath-taking ceremony. While the superstar was seen in several pictures and selfies from Rashtrapati Bhavan, the actress wasn't spotted anywhere.
Actually, Kajal skipped the event. Shocking! right? Well, Kajal couldn't attend the ceremony as she got the invitation quite late. She took to Instagram to express her sadness for not being able to attend the mega event. She even congratulated and extended her best wishes to the Modi Sarkar 2.0. ''Dear sir @narendramodi #PMOIndia and respected #PresidentofIndia @ramnathkovind thank you so much for your kind invite to the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the swearing in ceremony of our beloved #primeminister . Feeling privileged and honoured upon receiving this, would have loved to witness history in the making! Since my invite arrived very late, couldn’t make it to Delhi in time. Feeling terribly bad about it. More power to you for a glorious term,'' she wrote alongside the photo of the invitation card.
Kajal, who made her Bollywood debut with Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai's 2004 film Kyun! Ho Gaya Na was also seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham and Akshay Kumar starrer Special 26. She has also featured in a number of Tamil films such as Naan Mahaan Alla (2010), Maattrraan (2012), Thuppakki (2012), Jilla (2014), Vivegam(2017) and Mersal (2017). On the other hand, Kajal made her Telugu debut with Teja's Lakshmi Kalyanam, alongside Kalyan Ram. The actress shot to fame and earned critical reviews for her portrayal of double role in big-budget Telugu historical drama Magadheera, alongside Ram Charan Teja.
