South Indian actress Kajal Aggarwal, who shot to fame among Bollywood audience with Ajay Devgn's Singham is quite active on social media. She keeps her fans entertained by sharing her sizzling pictues and all the updates about her day-to-day activities. However, Kajal's latest Instagram post is quite different besides being inspiring. The actress created a stir on social media by sharing a close-up picture of herself and that too without makeup.
Her photo came as a surprise to netizens who have seen actresses mostly in makeup. Kajal did little effort to hide her real skin colour and freckles. This show the confidence of the actress in wearing her skin colour. Along with the photo, Kajal wrote a long note on redefining beauty and asserted, ''True beauty lies, in accepting ourselves for how lovely we are.”
''People can’t discover themselves anymore. Perhaps because we live in a world crazed by physical attraction or because social media has swallowed up our self esteem in whom and what it glorifies. Billions of rupees are spent on cosmetics and beauty products that promise you the prefect body. Narcissism seems to exist everywhere. Between those lines, we try to join the crowd or feel left out. Yet the only way we can truly be happy is when we start accepting who we are rather than defining or carving a different image for ourselves. Although makeup beautifies our outer persona, does it build our character and define who we are? True beauty lies, in accepting ourselves for how lovely we are,'' wrote Kajal on Instagram.
Sharing another monochrome photo, Kajal wrote, ''And it took courage and supreme shedding of inhibitions (and an entire layer of makeup) to finally put this picture up. #bareface #sansmakeup #therealme #nofilterneeded #skinbeneaththepolish #freckles''. Check out the photos below.
Recently, Kajal was invited to the oath-taking ceremony of PM Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan, however, she couldn't attend the function as she received the invitation late.
On the professional front, Kajal, who became a household name with films such as Magadheera and Temper, has currently four films in her kitty including Paris Paris, the official Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut’s Queen, Komali, Ranarangam and Indian 2.
