Janhvi Kapoor is a mirror image of late mother Sridevi and this picture is a proof!
It was a sad for not only Bollywood but also for the entire nation, when veteran actress Sridevi left for her heavenly abode. It came as a shocker for millions of Indians, who saw the actress hale and hearty a day before at Mohit Marwah’s wedding function. The Lamhe actress passed away in Dubai in February due to accidental drowning in her bathtub. The country is still not able to recover this massive loss. However, whenever we see Janvhi Kapoor, we see a spitting image of mother Sridevi in her.
Recently, the 21-year-old budding actress attended the prestigious 65th National Film Awards ceremony in New Delhi to collect her mother’s award for Best Actress. She was accompanied by father Boney Kapoor and sister Khushi Kapoor. For the special occasion, Janhvi Kapoor chose her outfit mindfully. She wore Sridevi’s saree from her personal collection. It was the saree which the late actress wore to a popular celebrity’s wedding. With her eyes resembling her mother’s, Janhvi Kapoor reminded us of Sridevi which each of her glimpse.
Another picture from the event viral on the social media and it got us super emotional. In the picture, Janhvi Kapoor is wiping sweat off her dad’s forehead. It reminded us of the times when Sridevi used to do that for Boney Kapoor. One thing is for sure, the Dhadak actress has responsibly stepped into her mother’s shoes after her untimely demise.
The occasion was rather emotional for the Kapoor family. It was Sridevi’s first National Award and the family is collecting it without her presence. Speaking about, Boney Kapoor told Doordarshan, “I am extremely happy and proud. This is what she’s got after working for 50 years in the industry; she would have cherished this award all her life. This is the highest honour. We miss her and today we miss her even more. I would have preferred, she going and accepting the award and me and my children sitting down and clapping for her.”
Janhvi Kapoor will be soon making her Bollywood debut with Ishaan Khatter in Shaishank Khaitan’s Dhadak. It will release on July 6.
