Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut in Dhadak, has taken the internet storm for wearing a holographic outfit allegedly copied from international brand. It so happened that Janhvi shot for a new magazine cover shoot. In the photoshoot, the actress wore electric blue dress by Mumbai-based designer label, Purple Paisley.
The colour and design of Janhvi Kapoor’s shimmery dress is oddly close to that of international brand Balmain from their fall 2018 collection.
After Purple Paisley posted a picture of Janhvi from the Cosmo India photoshoot in the label's dress, fashionistas on social media couldn't keep calm as they couldn't help but point out that the design looked so similar.
'Copied', 'ripped off' and ultimately 'plagiarised' are the comments the Janhvi's look has been receiving.
An Instagram page, Diet Sabya, known for policing plagiarists, called out Janhvi Kapoor’s dress, members of the social media were quick in trolling Janhvi Kapoor and her overall look.
In the past, the 'fashion watchdog' had also pointed out the similarity between original Janhvi Kapoor's dresses to that of other fake ones.
Recently, Janhvi Kapoor was teased by paparazzi who called out Sara Ali Khan’s name instead of hers. Look how the gorgeous Dhadak star reacted.
On the professional front, Janhvi will be seen in Karan Johar's directorial Takht, which is a multi-starrer film. She has also started preparations for a biopic on IAF fighter pilot Gunjan Saxena. Flight lieutenant Gunjan was posted in Kargil during 1999. During the war, she not only evacuated injured soldiers from the war field flying through Kashmir but also experienced a brush with death while doing this brave act.
