Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of late veteran actress Sridevi, who made her Bollywood debut with recently released Dhadak is riding high on the success of her first film. The Shashank Khaitan's directorial has minted over Rs 33.67 crore its first weekend. Though Dhadak has been panned by critics for its poor remake of epic love saga, Sairat, it is shining brighter at the box office.
Bollywood celebrities are in awe of Janhvi and her performance in the film. The newbie is receiving congratulatory messages from all the corners and her rumoured boyfriend, Akshat Ranjan also took the opportunity to appreciate her effort in an adorable way. Akshat presented a D shaped bouquet to Janhvi, 'D' symbolizing Dhadak. Sharing the picture, the actress wrote, 'Subtlety is not his thing'.
Earlier this year, Akshat shared a lovely picture of him with Janhvi and wrote, 'Happy Birthday', to which the actress responded, 'ILY'. Isn't that cute?
When asked whether she feels she has become a star now, Janhvi said, ''I don't think I am a star as of now, I am just trying to be an actor". Janhvi hasn't signed her second film, hence, her fans have to wait to see her again on silver screen.
Dhadak, backed by Dharma Productions also stars Ishaan Khatter and Ashutosh Rana in prominent roles. The movie is a Hindi remake of Nagraj Manjule's Marathi blockbuster Sairat.
