Janhvi Kapoor lambasts Pakistani daily over report on Pulwama terror attack

Just like rest of the Indians, Janhvi Kapoor too is upset and filled with angst after over 40 of our CRPF personnel martyred in a terror attack in Pulwama, Kashmir. Celebrities from various fields have come together to condemn the inhuman act. While most of the people across the globe stand united against terrorism, there are some for whom Pulwama attack was a 'fight for freedom'.

On a related note, when a Pakistani daily celebrated the attack on the CRPF convoy, Janhvi Kapoor took to social media to slam the article. Calling it a 'propagandist article', Janhvi said the truth is being distorted by the media and it is irresponsible. ''The reasons to be angered and hurt are plenty. The one that upsets me the most is that our men didn’t even get the chance to fight for themselves. The second photo is of a propagandist article that is celebrating this terrorist attack as a fight for freedom. It’s tragic and irresponsible that the truths of such a condemnable act are being distorted by the media to suit their political agendas. These men have been robbed of not just their lives but also the respect that they deserve as protectors of a nation. Let’s pray for the souls of our brave men and for the strength of their families,'' she wrote on Instagram.

From Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal and Aamir Khan to Salman Khan, Bollywood stars have expressed their anger over brutal killing of our soldiers.

On the professional front, Janhvi made her Bollywood debut with 2018 film Dhadak. It was a Dharma Production project and was helmed by Shashank Khaitan. The actress is currently prepping up for a biopic on IAF fighter pilot Gunjan Saxena. She will also be seen in Karan Johar's directorial project, Takht along with Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.
