Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor hold Puja on mother Sridevi’s first death anniversary 

On February 24 last year, the world lost a gem. Veteran actress Sridevi Boney Kapoor left us for her heavenly abode. The actress died by accidental drowning in her hotel bathtub in Dubai. She went there to attend Mohit Marwah’s wedding. The news was heartbreaking for everyone, but especially for her daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor who are still trying to come to terms with their mother’s death. According to the Hindu calendar, February 14 was the tithi when Sridevi passed away in 2018. On Thursday, her family including husband Boney Kapoor and brother-in-law Anil Kapoor went to Chennai to hold a Puja.

Pictures of Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor from the Puja are going viral on the internet. All these pictures have brought back the memories of how Sridevi left us suddenly last year. Fans are getting emotional as her death anniversary is approaching near.

People like Sridevi are hard to forget. Her fans, who were more like her extended family, still drop comments on her pictures telling people how they miss their beloved superstar.

Talking about Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, fans believe that Janhvi is a mirror image of her mother. At many occasions, the actress wore her mother’s clothes to feel close to her. At National Award ceremony, Janhvi wore her mother’s saree which left Sridevi’s fans emotional.  

Anil Kapoor recently spoke about Sridevi’s death anniversary. He told Mumbai Mirror, “She was my brother’s wife and my wife’s friend as they connected really well. Whenever we met there was always fun, laughter and humour. People like Sri ji are difficult to forget. Her body of work is fabulous and inspiring. Her films are still being seen and pictures still being published everywhere. She will always be missed.”
