Italian PM Giuseppe Conte on Deepika-Ranveer wedding: Who doesn’t want to get married in Italy?
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be the third celebrity couple after Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli and Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja to tie the knot in the period of this last one year. The couple are getting married at popular wedding destination Lake Como in Italy on November 14. They are not the first celebrity couple who are getting hitched at the famous Lake Como. Before them, popular singer John Legend and his wife Chrissy Tiegen walked the aisle at the popular wedding destination.
Talking to India Today, about many celebrities picking up Italy as their wedding destination, Italian PM Giuseppe Conte opened on many Indian celebrities flying to Italy for their wedding.
He said, “Italy has always been an extraordinary destination. Think about the Grand Tour, extremely popular throughout the 18th century. Our millenary culture, the sense of hospitality, the breath-taking landscapes, fashion, design, cinema and gastronomy are just a few of the factors so powerful to magnetise and entertain the visitors from across the world."
"I am quite sure that also the Bollywood celebs share my thoughts and just fell in love with our countryside villages so rich in traditions. Our unique and vivid cities made even more precious by the warmth and welcoming smiles of the locals and our mountains, so similar to the Himalayan range. So, who doesn't want to celebrate one of the best days in life in such a heavenly scenario,” he added.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will get married at Villa del Balbianello, Lake Como in Italy. They will exchange garlands in the presence of close friends and family. Later, they will host a grand reception in Mumbai and Bengaluru for their extended family and industry friends.
