Is Ajay Devgn suffering from tennis elbow or Lateral Epicondylitis?
Bollywood actor, who was last seen in Raid, has been reportedly diagnosed with lateral epicondylitis or tennis elbow. Buzz has it the actor was seen wincing in pain while shooting for Total Dhamaal in Film City recently. On noticing this, his co-actor Anil Kapoor, who apparently had suffered a similar injury, recommended that Ajay should fly to Germany for treatment.
“Ajay has a tennis elbow or Lateral Epicondylitis as it is called. And he is in so much pain, he can’t even lift his hand to pick up a cup of coffee. The actor has been experiencing pain in his heel, too. However, he has to finish the schedule because the producers (Ankur Garg and Luv Ranjan) have a set standing and they also have a combination of dates of Jimmy Sheirgill, Rakul and Tabu that they cannot afford to waste”, a source was quoted as saying to DNA.
For those who do not know this, tennis elbow is a condition in which the forearm muscles and tendons are affected, which leads to pain and tenderness on the outside of the elbow. It usually develops over a period of time. Repetitive motions — like gripping a racket during a swing — can strain the muscles and put too much stress on the tendons. That constant tugging can eventually cause microscopic tears in the tissue.
On the professional front, Ajay Devgn was last seen in Raid. He played the role of an honest Income Tax officer with perfection. The movie was well received by the cinema lovers and it also entered the coveted Rs 100 cr club.
