Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan, who once used to be good friend with each other, are facing some problems in their friendship. At the recent event of IFFI 2017, the duo seemed to have developed a rift between them. They attended the closing ceremony of IFFI 2017, but instead of exchanging pleasantries, two biggies of Bollywood behaved like the other never existed for them.
Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar shared the stage with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and other celebrities. But it seemed like they deliberately tried to avoid each other. Salman stood beside Bachchan with his Tubelight co-star Matin Rey Tangu and Katrina Kaif. The Tiger Zinda Hai actor avoided any eye contact with Akshay Kumar and vice versa. They didn’t even exchange greetings before getting down the stage. However, they both greeted Amitabh Bachchan.
According to BollywoodLife.com, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar who used to be great friends with each othe, sat separately at the event.
Earlier, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar were to co-produce a historical project on the Battle of Saragarhi. But Salman Khan opted out of the venture for unknown reasons. It is being said that Dabanng Khan wanted KJo to launch his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma under Dharma Productions banner but Karan refused. Aayush is now being launched by Salman under his home production banner Salman Khan films.
A couple of months ago, Akshay Kumar employed Reshma Shetty who managed Salman Khan’s work for nine years, after Tiger Zinda Hai actor had fallout with her.
Before Salman Khan stepped out of Battle of Saragarhi project, he had praised Akshay Kumar and called him the biggest superstar of Bollywood since he makes more money at the box office. Akshay Kumar, in response to this compliment, said that Salman Khan is a huge star who mints big numbers at box office. He also called Dabanng Khan his senior.
The reasons are not confirmed why these once-friends decided to play the ignoring game with each other at IFFI 2017.
