Haryanvi singer Sapna Choudhary, who was also part of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 11, rings in her 28th birthday today. As the Haryanvi dancing sensation Sapna turned a year older today, here we have compiled few unknown facts about the ex-Bigg Boss contestant.

Sapna, who is known for her electrifying dance performance also enjoys a huge fan following. Sapna always wanted to complete her education but she couldn’t do so due to the weak financial condition of her family. Earlier, after coming out the Bigg Boss show, Sapna in an interview said, ‘’I wish to finish my studies. I was good in studies and history was my favourite subject. We were financially so poor that I had to discontinue my education. Later, I never even told my mother about my desire to study because education for me was nothing but luxury at that time.’’

Sapna also revealed that it’s never too late to complete her studies and she would like to go for it. Very few people know that the Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna once attempted suicide. As per the reports published in The Hindu, Sapna, who was earlier accused of hurting the sentiments of a particular community through a Ragini song performance on stage show claimed that she was being harassed online. Following which Sapna tried to attempt suicide back in 2016. 

Sapna talking about her dance and stage performances said, "Yes, we entertain people on stage, but that is my job. That does not mean that in my regular days, anyone, especially men, can walk up to me to tease or look at me with vulgarity in their eyes. Our job does not allow them to disrespect or misbehave with us.''
