Kangana Ranaut has been voicing her strong opinions on Bollywood time and again in multiple interviews after Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi release. According to the actress, the film industry aka nepo gang as she likes to call them, have ganged up against her as she raised her voice against nepotism. She even slammed Alia Bhatt and called her Karan Johar’s puppet for not standing for what’s right. When Zoya Akhtar was recently questioned about her statements, she said, “Of course people appreciate her work...I don't understand her accusations, I'm sorry.”
Gully Boy actress Alia Bhatt also reacted strongly to Kangana Ranaut’s accusations. She said, “I would like to react to her personally if she has any complaints. I don’t want to talk about it in the media. As I have said before, I really admire her as an actor and the choices that she makes. She’s a very outspoken person and I admire her for that as well. If I have upset her unintentionally, then I don’t know. Basically, it wasn’t my intention. I didn’t do anything to get a reaction like this."
On the contrary, Anupam Kher and Tanushree Dutta have lauded Kangana Ranaut and her film Manikarnika. Versatile actress Vidya Balan has also praised Kangana’s direction and acting in the period drama.
As per the recent reports, Kangana Ranaut’s next directorial project would be her own biopic. She will play herself in the film directed by herself.
