Shibani Dandekar pops the marriage question to BF Farhan Akhtar. Here’s what he said
It was long ago when Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar used to be coy about their relationship. Now everything is out in the open and the entire world knows that the ZNMD actor is dating popular host and singer Shibani Dandekar. The couple has sprung into social media PDA just like any other Bollywood couple. And now, Farhan has even opened up on his wedding with bae Shibani. On a popular chat show Tape Cast Season 2, Shibani popped the marriage question to Farhan and you won’t believe what he said.
Farhan Akhtar was present on the show with Bhumi Pednekar. She played a ‘Do Not Play’ cassette for the actor-turned-producer hoping to get some interesting question for him. It had Shibani Dandekar’s voice recording asking Farhan when he will be getting married. Farhan blushed like a teenager and went on saying, “I don't know, maybe April or May."
Well, if his answer is anything to go by, it seems like this year also a big fat Bollywood wedding has booked the dates. Last year, Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with Anand Ahuja in a May wedding.
Speaking about his relationship with Shibani, Farhan said, “She is an amazing woman. It's been very special, the last year... You know we've been getting to know each other and I couldn't be happier about it. But with the social media world again, we are constantly being told about the things we should be doing (laughs). But ya, I have never felt so comfortable to share my personal stuff but I don't know, I just feel like somehow with celebrating all this, it just feels very natural to me.”
“I mean, obviously you don't want to go like crazy and people are like please 'bass kar' but ya, it feels nice to share that because we are always living so sheltered and you are always so protected and your guards are constantly up; especially when it comes to people like your partner in your life and you don't want people to know. I just felt like it's rather nicer to share it with people and include them in the joy and let them feel happy, hopefully. Some might feel a bit jealous that she's with me,” he added.
On the work front, Farhan Akhtar will share the screen with Priyanka Chopra in The Sky Is Pink. It is their second collaboration. They have worked together in Dil Dhadakne Do directed by Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar.
