A video is being circulated in which his actor Akshay Kumar’s statements are being made to look like he is commenting on the ongoing Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar issue. Now, the actor has filed a complaint to the cyber police station at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar had alleged that an old video which had his interview about a well-known actress, was edited and Tanushree's name was morphed in the clip to make it seem that Akshay spoke about her in the interview, latest reports suggest.
The actor's complaint said that he has not made any such statements and that the video is morphed. A senior police official said that the link has been blocked. No complaint has been registered as of now. "The video was edited in a way that it looks like Akshay Kumar is expressing his views on the Tanushree Dutta-Nana Patekar controversy," the official said.
The video was of Akshay's media interaction, a few days ago, when he was asked about another actor. His complaint complaint alleges that the answer was edited in a way that it appears as though he is speaking against Tanushree.
An officer told Hindustan Times, "The narrative of the video was edited in a way that it looks like Kumar is expressing his views on the Dutta-Patekar controversy, which he never did. We tried to search the video on YouTube but could not get it; probably it was blocked or removed. We have asked him to produce a copy of the video. The inquiry is going on." The police cited that Akshay noticed that the video could hamper his reputation in public.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be seen next in Kesari. The film, which is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, also features Parineeti Chopra in a pivotal role. The battle was fought between the British Indian Army that consisted of 21 Sikh Soldiers and Afghan Orakzai Tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province.
