Even after they have separated and moved on happily in their lives, fans want to see Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor together in films. Now when rumours mills are abuzz with Shahid working with Imitiaz Ali in his next project, reports suggest that it could be a sequel to Jab We Met. Imtiaz may approach Kareena for a role in the movie.
When Imtiaz was asked about the same, he said that nothing has been finalised and it would be very early to comment on something. In an interview with a leading daily, Imtiaz said, “Shahid and I wanted to do a film together. Hopefully, we will. But these things are announced only when the fine print is done. There’s no secret. I cannot say anything till I finalise; we won’t issue a statement.'' When questioned whether Kareena will be part of the movie, the filmmaker said, ''That thought hasn’t come to us yet. We’ve not come this far.''
Kareena and Shahid were last seen in Udta Punjab but they didn't have any scenes together. For those living under the rock, Shahid and Kareena ended their long relationship during the shooting of Imtiaz's superhit Jab We Met. Their crackling chemistry in the movie was loved by the audience. Fans were shocked by the news of their split as they were hoping the lovebirds to get married.
However, the ex-lovers now share a cordial relationship with each other. Reports suggest that Shahid even invited Kareena for his wedding. Regarding this, the actress had then said, ''I wish him all the best. It’s a great decision. I met him at YRF a few months ago and he told me he was getting married and I congratulated him.''
On the professional front, Shahid will next be seen in Shree Narayan Singh directorial Batti Gul Meter Chalu, co-starring Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor. On the other hand, Kareena will next be seen in chick flick Veere Di Wedding, co-starring Swara Bhaskar and Sonam Kapoor.
