Former Bollywood actress Esha Deol got emotional on her parents and veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s wedding anniversary. On their 37th wedding anniversary, the actress took to Instagram to share a collage of some adorable pictures of her parents. Sharing the pictures ,she also jotted down an emotional note for the ‘most precious people of her life’ in her Instagram caption.
She wrote, “Happy wedding anniversary to my most precious people in the entire world “my mummy & my Papa” without u both I’m nothing! I take this opportunity to say sorry for all the times iv hurt u , to say all I know is to love u both unconditionally& to say everything I achieve in life is because of ur blessings... really really proud to be the daughter of 2 of the most humble souls god has ever created! Talking about yesteryear superstars, Hema Malini and Dharmendra, the duo fell in love with each other in the year 1970 on the sets of Tum Haseen Main Jawan. At that time, the actor was already married to Prakash Kaur and had two sons, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol with her. Despite being already married, he couldn’t stop himself from falling in love with her. However, the love blossomed between them and they decided to exchange wedding vows. Dharmendra converted to Islam to marry Hema Malini as his first wife Prakash Kaur wasn’t ready to divorce him.
According to the Outlookindia.com, their Nikahnama reads, “Dilawar Khan Kewal Krishn (44 years) accepted Aisha Bi R. Chakravarty (29 years) as his wife on 21 August 1979 at a mehr of Rs 111,000 in the presence of two legal witnesses.”
