It seems Italy has become a favourite hotspot for celebrity gatherings. After the much secretive Tuscany, where Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot last year, another popular couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are also gearing up for their wedding in the country. The venue finalised apparently is the picturesque Villa del Balbianello overlooking the beautiful Lake Como, where Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha had also got engaged earlier this year.
The villa is being decorated and wedding preparations are on in full swing ahead of the couple’s wedding and ANI shared latest visuals from the villa. The tweet read, “Italy: Visuals from Villa del Balbianello at Lake Como in Lombardy, the venue for the wedding ceremony of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Preparations underway.”
A magnificent coast, romantic settings, breathtaking villages and a sunshine to die for, Lake Como has more than one reasons to be a celebrity-favourite destination. From some iconic breathtaking views to some lavish stays for friends and families - Deepika and Ranveer have made sure to zero down on just the perfect venue for their big day and it should come as no surprise that their wedding will be nothing short of a fairytale.
The wedding celebrations first begun at the Padukone household in Bengaluru with a Nandi puja, which was attended by her closest relatives and Deepika’s team of stylists. Followed by the Bhavnanis kick-started the wedding festivities with a haldi ceremony for Ranveer. Before the couple left for Italy, they we spotted visiting Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Farah Khan with their wedding invites.
According to reports, Deepika and Ranveer will have two wedding ceremonies in Italy — one in accordance with South Indian rituals on November 14 while there will be another wedding ceremony on November 15 as per Sindhi traditions. It is also rumoured that a sangeet ceremony is scheduled for November 13 and a party will also be hosted for the guests after the wedding days. DeepVeer are expected to host two lavish receptions in India – one in Bengaluru (Deepika’s hometown) and the other in Mumbai.
The Ram-Leela co-stars have been together for almost six years now.
